What is Microsuction & Warm Water Irrigation?
Microsuction and Warm Water Irrigation are minimally invasive, quick and simple methods of earwax removal. Microsuction is used to extract any wax from the entrance of the outer ear canal; creating access to the deeper, outer canal. Warm Water Irrigation is used to move any deep wax forward and flushes out those hard-to-reach places. When combined with manual removal, we are able to access the entire ear canal, giving us the best chance of complete clearance – giving you healthier and happier ears.

Before and during your appointment
Please apply Ear Oil in the 5 -7 days leading up to your appointment. This is to avoid the need to book a return visit. Earwax can be very stubborn, so the softer the better! Your appointment will typically take around 30 minutes and will be carried out by one of our trained clinicians. We will carry out a consultation and look in your ear with an otoscope and in ear camera to make an assessment. We will discuss the best method of removal with you, carry out your treatment and provide you with all your aftercare – including a free pair of ear plugs.

We are a team of two, local to Weymouth and Portland; In 2024 we decided to come together and build Battlewax. We have 9 years’ experience working within the NHS and caring for others. Over this time, we have developed a passion for people centred care and supporting people to improve their quality of life. We feel that there is no better contribution to this than helping others restore hearing and comfort.
